Nic Bulver
Council Member
Graduating from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Nic Bulver works at Chevron Renewable Energy Group (CREG) and currently holds a position as Team Lead, Program Management Office (PMO). He leads a team of Project Managers that focus on high impact initiatives for the company. Nic has been at CREG for 7 years, starting off as a Procurement Support Coordinator before moving to the Rail Team as a Coordinator and working his way up to eventually lead that team as Rail Manager.
Born and raised in Ankeny, Nic has been a resident of Ames for the past 7 years. He lives on the west side of town with his: wife, two kids, and two dogs. Nic initially moved to the Ames MSA for the convenience of location for work, but has quickly come to realize there is nowhere else he and his family would rather live and raise a family. Through increased involvement in the community, he has unlocked a passion for giving back to the community with volunteer work and staying engaged.
Nic engages with the community in a variety of ways: as a member of the ChildServe Ames Community Advisory Board, an Alliance Ambassador, YSS mentor and Advisory Council member, YP Iowa Board member, United Way of Story County - Young Leaders Society member, active involvement with Boone Elementary PTO, and as a Boone Booster Club member. In the free time he has left, you will find Nic: attending ISU sporting events, coaching his son’s soccer team, enjoying any number of community events, and running kids to practices.
