Volunteer at Winter Wonderscape
AREA Young Professionals are excited to help volunteer during the Winter Wonderscape event at Reiman Gardens on Thursday, December 12th. Come be apart of a magical night full of lights, colors, music and more!
About Winter Wonderscape:
Featuring more than 150,000 dazzling lights throughout 17-acres of outdoor gardens, this walk-through light show includes popular favorites, as well as fun new surprises. Experience captivating tunnels that surround you with color, massive laser-lit disco balls, dynamic light strands dancing across a frozen lake, a colorful neon jungle, and so much more. Don’t miss the lights, colors, music and magic of Winter Wonderscape.
Volunteer Duties Include:
- Entrance Greeters welcome visitors into the gardens, check tickets, and direct the flow of traffic.
- Station Captains volunteers stationed at key locations to ensure displays are operational and guests are having a good time
- Float volunteers will walk the route and let staff know if lights are not working or paths need to be maintained
Upon arrival at Reiman Gardens (1407 University Blvd.), enter through the front door, then turn right, walk past the gift shop, and enter the Auditorium. This is where you will check in and receive a brief training on what you’ll be doing at the event. Half an hour is spent inside for a pre-shift training, and then volunteers will be outside for an hour and a half. Volunteers can come inside for hot cocoa, coffee, snacks, and to warm up whenever needed.
This is an outdoor activity in the fall. Dress appropriately (boots, winter coats, gloves, scarves, and hats!). PLEASE do not show up without a jacket!
