DESCRIPTION:Please join us in welcoming THE WALL THAT HEALS to central Iowa from August 6, 2025 through August 10, 2025. We need volunteers from the moment The Wall That Heals is set up until it has been taken down and departs our community. By volunteering for this event, you will be considered an Ambassador for this spectacular honor! You will become a smiling face for visitors, a helpful hand for those wanting to do a name rubbing of a loved one, a shoulder for those that may become emotional because of their life experiences and a helpful voice for each of the visitors as they come to pay tribute, recognize, and honor the brave men and women of the Vietnam War. You will also help others learn about that time in our country’s history.\nThere are several different volunteer opportunities. Please read the description for each different volunteer opportunity slot and be sure that you can meet the requirements for each shift you sign up for. Physical limitations, age, and health concerns WILL NOT disqualify you from volunteering! Just let us know and we WILL find a position that is perfect for YOU! Your health and safety are our TOP PRIORITY!\nThere will be a volunteer training session on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 6pm. It is VERY STRONGLY ENCOURAGED that you come to this training so you will know what each job is and how to do it to the best of your ability.
